Identifying as a writer for as long as I can remember, my plan was to be a journalist. I dabbled in this throughout college and after graduation, working for local publications and contributing as a feature writer for the Chicago Tribune. With an opportunity to try something new, I joined my family’s business for several years to help launch a new division of the company through sales and marketing leadership. I loved the creativity, the customers, the deep and broad business knowledge I gained, and partnering with high-level executives at global companies. But I missed writing. A lot.
What started off as a side gig helping people with resumes turned into a new career focus. I launched Writer Woman, Inc. in 2014 on a mission to offer job seekers, executive leaders, and entrepreneurs something different – not a “resume mill” producing mundane plug-and-play documents, but a high-touch career branding and advisory partnership. I am hooked on connecting with my clients, bringing their wow factors to life, and building a career story that gets attention.
Whether you’re eager or hesitant, self-assured or a bit uncertain, I customize my approach to meet clients where they are, making the process simple, productive, and even fun!
